These sessions were held during last week while the Rising Stars squad was preparing for the Australia tour, where it will play quadrangular tournament against teams from Australia’s Big Bash League.

An official of Lahore Qalandars told Geo.tv that Dr Nauman Niaz briefed players on cricket diet and nutrition while journalist Umar Farooq Kalson lectured players on how to deal with media internationally.

A lecture on anti-corruption was also held for the players of Lahore Qalandars in which PCB’s Major (retd) Azhar briefed players on SOPs relating to anti-corruption laws and how to keep cricket clean from corrupt elements.

Sessions on public behaviours and even on how to behave at certain places were also held for players grooming.

Rana Atif, the CEO of Lahore Qalandars, says the players are ambassadors of Lahore Qalandars in general and Pakistan in particular, and their behaviour would be the key to portraying Pakistan’s image abroad.

“This is something never done before. We wanted complete grooming of players; a proper personality grooming which is not limited to their cricketing skills,” Atif told Geo.tv on Wednesday.

“These players will be our ambassadors; they’ll represent LQ and Pakistan. So, they should know how to represent country and your team, on and off the field.”

Atif said that they have done everything possible for development and grooming of players with hope that one day these players will represent Pakistan.
