IT BOASTS four bedrooms, six bathrooms and a double garage, but this luxury waterfront property on Sydney’s leafy lower north shore has another unusual feature in the kitchen.
Plastered about the pristine white cupboards and hi-tech appliances, a sign reads: “I don’t have to be a good cook, I’m a trophy wife”.
Agency photos of the home at 28 Fairfax Road, Mosman, show the phrase clearly emblazoned across the wall. A spokesman for Belle Property Mosman declined to comment on the sign to news.com.au.
According to the property’s online ad, the home has “exceptional design and palatial proportions, with an approximate internal size of 505sqm”, which bring “a sense of contemporary grandeur to this custom-built home, which nestles serenely in an exclusive cul-de-sac.”
It also boasts harbour views and a “comprehensive” list of extras including a lift, a butler’s kitchen, a teenagers’ retreat, poolside terrace, wine cellar and tasting room, a pizza courtyard and a gym.
The home is a short walk to local beaches and public transport.
Mosman’s postcode 2088 is one of Australia’s richest suburbs, with a median household income of $2465 per week and a median mortgage repayment on $3033 a month, according to recent census data.
The media house price for a four bedroom home in Mosman is $3.612,500, according to realestate.com.au.
Both Justin Bieber and Adele stayed in Mosman during their respective tours of Sydney. They both opted to stay in private homes over a CBD hotel, in a bid to retain more privacy.
