DUBAI: Senior player Muhammad Hafeez said on Saturday that the defending champion Peshawar Zalmi will try its level best and will work hard to maintain its performance in the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League.
Speaking during a training session, he said: “I personally believe that whatever one has done, good or bad, one shouldn’t remain stick with it because the moment has passed. Yes, we were champions but we have to work really hard to maintain it.”
The former Pakistan skipper said that the core squad of the team is very much same which played in the last edition of the PSL.
“Our unit is very good. We will adopt good basics, and will see every match as must-win,” he said.
The senior player said that he is very positive for the team and happy to see himself retained by the team.
“I am really happy that I have been retained. I have to play a role in my humble capacity. I would like to spend more time with youngsters because these players will be soon playing for Pakistan.”
