Nov. 10 (UPI) — Minnesota Timberwolves star Jimmy Butler reportedly has a new home.

Sources told ESPN and The Athletic that the Timberwolves traded Butler and Justin Patton to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Jerryd Bayless, Robert Covington, Dario Saric and a 2022 second-round draft pick.

Butler, 29, averaged 21.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.4 steals per game in 10 starts this season for the Timberwolves. The four-time All-Star averaged 22.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game last season.

Butler owns career averages of 16.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game during his eight-year NBA tenure.

The decorated NBA veteran has been public about his desire to be traded, but the Timberwolves decided not to move him in the offseason.

Butler is unlikely to play Saturday in the Sixers’ game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Sixers battle the Timberwolves at 7 p.m. on Jan. 15 in Philadelphia.
