Six people have been rescued from a hot air balloon after it smashed into a power line tower and got tangled 230ft (70 metres) off the ground.
The balloon hit the metal tower on Sunday evening but the basket miraculously avoided the 380,000-volt electricity cables.
The balloon deflated and became snarled in the tower, leaving the passengers all clinging on inside the basket dangling beneath.
It took five hours for rescuers to scale the tower near the city of Bottrop in western Germany and safely bring the six people back down to the ground.
None of the balloon occupants were hurt in the collision but they were all taken to hospital for checks.
Work is now being carried out to disentangle the balloon and bring it down.
