A hotel valet had to be cut out of a Porsche after a bungled parking job which saw the luxury sports car end up squashed underneath an SUV.
A large crowd gathered to watch as the driver was rescued from the soft-top Porsche Carrera by emergency workers outside the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Sydney, Australia.
The car had reportedly accelerated during the parking attempt, and somehow ended up under the orange sports utility vehicle.
Police were called to the hotel – where rooms in an executive suite cost $650 (£369) – following the bizarre incident.
Escaping uninjured, the valet was “embarrassed and a little bit shocked,” the hotel’s director of sales and marketing, Matthew Talbot, told the Australian Broadcasting Corp.
A video shows the larger vehicle propped up and its wheels anchored as the cars are separated.
The black Porsche is then backed on to a tow truck, with its hood and front bumper appearing crunched and badly dented.
Witness Jonathan Bayle said he thought a television show or movie was being filmed when he saw the cars.
The hotel is investigating the incident, it said in a statement.
